Have the Best Day with the Cutest Crew Fun Fold Card

Say hello to the Cutest Crew—an endearing stamp set filled with playful pups, curious kitties, and chirpy little birds, ready to bring charm to my handmade cards and paper crafts. I love the sweet sentiments and whimsical line art for so many occasions, whether I’m sending birthday wishes or a just-because note. The open designs are easy to color, and I love customizing each adorable critter to make it my own!

Instructions for this sweet fun fold card:

To start, my card base was cut from Pecan Pie cardstock at 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, then scored at 2-1/8″ and 5-1/2″ so it would fold into the fun fold shape, creasing well at each line to help the card pop open and stand on its own. This fold gives the card so much dimension right out of the envelope!

Two panels of Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper (DSP), cut at 5-3/8″ x 2″, were attached to the two outer side panels of the fun fold base next. The plaid pattern gave the whole card such a cozy, timeless feel, which felt perfect alongside the Cutest Crew critters.

For the focal panel, a strip of Lost Lagoon cardstock was cut at 7-7/8″ x 2″ and scored at 4-1/8″ and 6″ to create a “Z” fold, then attached to the front and back panels. A strip of Basic White cardstock, cut to 4″ x 1-7/8″, was sponged with Lost Lagoon Ink on top to create the sky and with Crumb Cake Ink on the bottom to create the ground. The dog images from the Cutest Crew Stamp Set were stamped and colored in with Crumb Cake, Gray Granite, and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends, while the flowers were colored with Real Red and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. That image was then die cut with the coordinating die from the Cutest Crew Dies and attached to the front panel strip with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment, “Have the Best Day,” was stamped onto a banner-shaped piece of Basic White cardstock using Pecan Pie Ink, fussy cut, and added to the center, finished off with a couple of Lost Lagoon enamel dots for sparkle.

The coordinating pattern from the same DSP, cut to 5-3/8″ x 2″, was added to the back of the inside panel, and a piece of Basic White cardstock at 5-3/8″ x 2″ was added to the back part of the card. Lastly, the same DSP was added to the envelope for a finished and polished look.

This fun fold design is such a fun way to showcase the Cutest Crew—I can’t get over how cute this card turned out!
