Happy Valentine’s Day from the Friendly Gnomes!

Good Afternoon Crafters!

You can create so many playful fairytale cards with the Friendly Gnomes Stamp Set. This all-occasion set is perfect for birthdays, spring, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, and much more! Build the cutest scene for the occasion of your choice: mix and match the different gnomes or in this case repeat the cute gnome with the heart image to make a Valentine’s Day card.

Friendly Gnomes

The gnome image was stamped three times with Tuxedo Black Ink on Basic White Thick Cardstock. I used the following Stampin’ Blends to color in the images:

  • Ivory for the nose
  • Light Balmy Blue for the mittens
  • Light Gray Granite for the beard and shoes
  • Light Real Red for the hearts
  • Dark Soft Succulent for the clothes
  • Light Balmy Blue for the middle gnome cap

The two outside caps were paper pieced using the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper. After coloring and paper piecing the caps, I die cut them with the Gnomes Dies.

The background pattern paper is from the Country Floral Lane DSP. After attaching it to the Real Red Cardstock layer, I die cut it using the Stitched with Whimsy Dies.

To get the words on the hearts, I typed them out on the computer and then very carefully stamped the gnome image over the word. I was afraid the printer’s ink would smear after coloring the hearts but it didn’t!

This is the inside of the card. I used the Stitched with Whimsy Dies and the hearts from the Country Bouquet Stamp set.

Of course, no naked envelope for me! Same DSP as the front of the card.

Thanks again for stopping by and spending a bit of your time with me. I hope you enjoyed learning about how this card came together. Hopefully you were even inspired just a bit.
