Easy Masculine Cards with the Relaxing Waterside Bundle

Hi Crafty Friends!
Today’s card features the Waterside Retreat Suite Collection — and I have to say, it’s quickly become one of my absolute favorites! The best part? No more stressing over masculine card designs (always my biggest challenge 😅) because every pattern in this collection is perfectly geared toward the guys. Way to go, Stampin’ Up!

This Father’s Day card practically makes itself — and that’s exactly why I love it! 😊 The Waterside Retreat DSP is so stunning on its own that it does all the heavy lifting. A little layering, a sentiment, and a few rhinestones and you’ve got a card any dad would be proud to receive!

To start, I cut my Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock to 11″ x 4¼” and folded it in half using my Bone Folder for a nice crisp crease. For Layer #1, I cut Old Olive Cardstock to 5⅜” x 4⅛” and ran it through the Textured Notes Dies. The plaid paper was cut slightly smaller at 4⅞” x 3⅝”, and I trimmed the dock scene panel to 4⅜” x 3¼”.
Before assembling everything, I stamped “Happy Father’s Day” in Old Olive Ink in the upper right corner of the front panel, then added the shrubs in the lower left using Old Olive Ink. I attached Layer #1 to the card base, adhered the plaid Layer #2 on top, and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the front panel for a little dimension.
To finish, I added two Old Olive Dots just below the sentiment and placed one more green gem in the bottom right corner. Simple and perfect! 😊

I added a strip of the plaid pattern paper to the left side of the inside of the card and stamped a small shrub with Old Olive Ink in the lower right side.

I also added a strip of Plaid Pattern paper (6″ x 2 1/4″ to the envelope flap for a more cohesive look.
