Good Afternoon Crafters!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend. We did – my youngest granddaughter, Rachel, graduated from high school at age 16 ❤️👩🎓🎈🎊🎉. She is taking a gap year before going off to college – I am so glad because I still see her as a little girl!
Since SU did not have any graduation stamp sets, I used a non-SU stamp with her high school colors (black/gold). Inks and cardstock were from Stampin’ Up!
The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink onto Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then colored in the image with the following stampin’ blends:
- Basic Black for the hat
- Daffodil Delight for the flowers
- Soft Succulent for the leaves
After coloring in the flowers, I brushed them with Wink of Stella.
The tassel was created using embroidery thread (don’t know the color). The sentiment and name were were computer generated and cut out with our Paper Snips.
Both the front panel and sentiment were attached to the base card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The front panel and inside panel were cut using the Rectangle Deckled Dies. The inside panel was attached with our Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Thanks again for stopping by and spending a bit of your time with me. I hope you enjoyed learning about how this card came together. Hopefully you were even inspired just a bit. If you enjoyed my project for today, please be sure to visit my Card Gallery for lots of ideas and inspiration. Have a great day!
