Playing in the Rain All Occasion or Graduating Card?

By | May 19, 2023

Good Afternoon Crafters!

I cannot believe my youngest granddaughter, Rachel, is graduating from high school tomorrow.

She will be taking a gap year and then go to college.

Today’s card features the cute, adorable bunny from the Playing in the Rain Stamp Set. After I made this, I thought this could almost be Rachel’s Graduation Card. All I have to do is put a graduation cap somewhere in the front of the card. Even the inside of the card would be appropriate!

This is the inside of the card.

I used the retired Stitched Rectangle Dies for the front panel. I die cut two pieces together so that they would match perfectly when I glued them together. Before attaching piece #2 to the front panel, I cut it to 2 3/4″ wide. I then cut a circle using the Stylish Shapes Dies and scored 3 lines on the top and bottom of said panel. I attached the two pieces together with the Multipurpose Liquid Glue carefully making sure that the stitched lines matched. Lastly, I adhered it to the base card with the Foam Adhesive Sheets.

The bunny was stamped with Tuxedo Black and colored in with the Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Marker. The ears, nose and cheek were colored in with Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends Marker and the coat with the Light Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Marker.
