The Incentive Gift is the thing you offer a new subscriber to your mailing list as a 'Thank You' for
signing up. I'm always amazed at how few stamping business owners place a really great Incentive Gift into their list building system. Especially, when you consider the fact that it really is one of the most important parts of.
The bottom line is, if you don't have a great Incentive Gift, you're going. It may not seem fair, but many, if notmost of your subscribers base their decision about whether or not to sign up onhow much they like the Incentive Gift they're going to receive.
If you're just telling your subscriber to sign up for your list to get yournewsletter, but you're not offering them an immediate benefit/gift, as well,you're losing subscribers. And if you're losing subscribers, you're
losing customers.
The Incentive Gift also presents you with the chance to showcase your
personality AND stake your ground as an expert in your craft. With tens of
thousands of Stampin' Up Demos out there, it's important to set yourself
apart. The Incentive Gift presents a wonderful opportunity to do just that!
Make sure you have an Incentive Gift (like a video series) that really lets YOU
shine through… both your knowledge AND your unique character. If you can
accomplish both of those things, you're well on your way to creating raving
fans.
Finally, the Incentive Gift allows you to give away some of your best stuff for
free! I know this sounds crazy, but one of the biggest mistakes stamping
business owners make is holding back with their Incentive Gift. When you
put it all out there, instead, it gets people excited. They think, "if
this is what they're giving me for free, I can't wait to see what I get when I
pay!"
The other thing it does is creates a feeling of reciprocity. When you give away
such great stuff, people WANT to repay you. They WANT to do business with you.
It makes them feel good to pay you back in some way.
Take a look at your Incentive Gift. Is it accomplishing everything it can for
you? If not, you're probably leaving some money on the table.
