Sailing Home for David’s Birthday

By | February 20, 2022

Whether you’re sailing home or going off to new adventures, the images and sentiments in the Sailing Home Stamp Set will inspire you on your journey

Today’s project is a bridge fun fold card and was created for my husband, David’s, birthday.

The set reminds me so much of sailing to the Channel Islands in Southern California. We owned a sail boat and sailed many weekends in and around the Channel Islands. I think the best trips were when we sailed for one – two weeks. Those trips we would anchor in many of the bays and explore the islands.

I used the Acetate Sheets for the bridge and adhered the boat to the bridge instead of to the background.

To blend the boat into the background, I stamped on the New Horizons Designer Series Paper and then did a little bit of coloring with Stampin’ Blends.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great week!

I love this beautiful card you made for David, Rachel. It is so pretty and clever using the acetate to suspend the ship. Your cards are always pretty. Enjoy the week!
