Down by the Dock – A Father’s Day Card

Hi Crafty Friends!
I just love the Waterside Retreat 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper which is why I making several Father’s Days cards using this DSP — it’s like a little escape right at my craft table! The soft, painterly images and sun-faded hues just take me away to a lazy lakeside getaway. From life vests and oars to buoys and bicycles, each sheet captures such a beloved piece of lake life. And those two cut-apart sheets? They’re perfect for adding those beautiful scenic touches to handmade cards, scrapbook pages, and so much more!

Instructions:
- Card Base: Cut and score Basic Gray Cardstock to 11″ x 4 1/4″. Fold in half with a Bone Folder for a sharper crease.
- DSP: Using the Deckled Rectangle Dies, cut two pieces of the patter paper (1 woodgrain, 1 dock on bay).

- Stamping: Stamp the leaves (lower left side) with Old Olive and stamp the gull (upper right side) in Basic Gray Ink. Stamp “Happy Father’s Day” onto a small strip of Basic White cardstock and punch out using the Three Banner Punch.
- Mat the Panel: Attach the wood grain pattern to the base card with our Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Attach the front panel to a piece of Basic Gray cardstock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Attach the layered panel to the front of the card (see card for placement) with Stampin’ Dimensionals

- Add the Twine: Create a large loose, loopy bow for a casual outdoorsy feel and attach with a mini glue dot to the right lower side of the front panel. Add the sentiment banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the twine.

- Stamp: Stamp the bush with Old Olive and then die cut with the largest die from the Deckled Rectangle Dies. For the envelope, add a strip of the wood grain pattern DSP for a more polished look.
