Diamond Details and Delicate Florals with the Heirloom Boutique Bundle

Before I dive into today’s post, I want to take a moment to answer a question I hear from several of my customers — why do I decorate the inside of my cards and the envelope when most crafters don’t? For me, it all comes down to this: every part of a handmade card deserves the same love and attention as the front. Those little inside surprises are what truly elevate a card from something pretty to something genuinely special. When I take the extra time to add those finishing touches to the inside and the envelope, it’s my way of showing the recipient just how much they mean to me.

One of my favorite things about the Heirloom Boutique Bundle is how it helps me bring my most meaningful stories to life. The coordinating stamps and dies make it so easy to add delicate florals, layered details, and heartfelt sentiments to my cards, scrapbook pages, and handmade gifts. These timeless designs truly help me turn every project into a keepsake worth sharing and cherishing.

What I love about this birthday card is the striking diamond die cut layout. I arranged three stitched diamond shapes diagonally across the card to create a dynamic, layered look that really draws the eye. The white embossed floral texture in the background adds such a beautiful depth, and the Perennial Lavender patterned paper layer underneath ties everything together perfectly.

The florals are absolutely my favorite part! I stamped and colored the gorgeous Highland Heather blooms with Daffodil Delight centers, then cut them out and layered them over the diamonds — letting some cascade off the edges for that lovely, natural flow. The Old Olive leaves add just the right touch of contrast, and I tucked a sweet sprig of greenery right behind the “Happy Birthday” sentiment tag to give it that fresh, garden-fresh feel.

To finish things off, I scattered a few purple gems across the diamonds for just a little sparkle and shine. ✨ It’s those small details that really make a card feel special and complete. The purple and white color combination gives this card such an elegant, feminine look, and I just love how the Heirloom Boutique Bundle makes it so easy to create something that feels truly keepsake-worthy.

The inside of my card is clean and simple — a white card base with a single strip of the purple floral Designer Series Paper running down the left side. And I had so much fun with the envelope flap too! I cut a piece of the same purple floral Designer Series Paper and adhered it to the inside of the envelope flap, creating that beautiful “wow moment” when the recipient opens it.
