Age Happens

Age-Happens copy

It's time again for the Emerson girls!  I love these images!  They are by Emerson and are from the American Art Stamp website.  At least, that where I buy them because they have a large selection.  I know that they are also available at Hobby Lobby but they only have two or three of them and for the last couple of years, it's been the same three.

The image was stamped using Versafine Vintage Sepia.  The flowers were first embossed using the embossing folder and the cuttlebug.  I then punched them out using a Fiskers and SU flower punch.  The pattern is from BasicGrey and is called Bittersweet.  I don't know if BasicGrey has made pattern paper that I didn't like – I haven't found it yet if they did!  I also added stickles to the flower on the hat, and to the brown flower on the side.

  • Stamp:  Age Happens by Emerson Quillin
  • Ink:  Versafine Vintage Sepia
  • Paper:  Very Vanilla, Regal Rose, Close to Cocoa, Bittersweet Pattern Paper by BasicGrey
  • Accessories:  Stampin' Write Markers (Regal Rose, Blush Blossom, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip), Embossing Folder, Cuttle Bug, Fiskers and SU flower punch, Brown Silk Flower by PaperStudio, Label Three Nestabilities, Wizard, Cotton Candy Stickles, Brown Brad

Thanks for visiting!

I have a coffee mug from 1983 with an Emerson girl on it and the caption, “Listen honey-if he drives a Mercedes-keep him.” That is my very favorite mug and my friend accidently broke it today. Would anyone know where I might be able to find another one just like it?
