Adventures in Color Paper Pumpkin Kit for May 2023

By | May 28, 2023

Good Afternoon Crafters!

After subscribing to Paper Pumpkin for several years (off and on), I finally decided to make some alternative cards and it was so much fun. I especially liked May’s kit because My husband and I like spend time outside as much as possible and usually take walks. But my husband especially likes the outside because he is an avid hiker, kayaker and sailor.

This is the 1st card in the kit.

My alternate card.

  • Front of card cut down to 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
  • Printed hiker silhouette (free from internet)
  • Attached layer 1 (Night of Navy) to base card (Mossy Meadow)
  • Added front panel to card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue
  • Stamped “Thank you” in Night of Navy on Wild Wheat Cardstock and punched out with the Happy Labels Punch.
  • Adhered to front of card with Stampin’ Dimensionals

Second card from kit

Alternative card:

  • Scored Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock at 2 1/8″ and 6 3/4″ and folded both side towards center with a bone folder for a sharper crease.
  • Cut PP card into 4 panels measuring 5 1/4″ x 2″ and attached to base card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
  • Stamped sentiment with Copper Clay on Very Vanilla Cardstock and die cut with the Layering Circles Dies. Die cut Boho Blue Cardstock with coordinating scallop die from same set of dies. Attached to front of card adding adhesive only on the left side of the circle.
  • Added bincolars provided in kit.

Inside of card. I stamped the compass image with Early Espresso and colored in using the Wild Wheat and Copper Clay Stampin’ Blends.

Third card from kit

Alternate card:

Fussy cut trees and attached to alternate card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. This was easy to do since the kit provided 3 identification card fronts.

Added a 3rd buffalo that fussy cut with our Paper Snips.

Used sky from other card panel (one that I used to cut out the trees and the buffalo) and stamped sentiment on it with Night of Navy. Attached to alternative card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by today.
