Nature’s Symphony in Copper and Pecan Pie

Hi Crafty Friends
Even with this heat, autumn was on my mind — walking through crunchy leaves, bundled up in a cozy coat. That’s exactly the mood I was chasing while scrolling Pinterest for today’s card inspiration. A gorgeous card by Jan Coultier caught my eye, so I decided to CASE it, changing a few things along the way to make it my own.
This project brings such an organic feel with its versatile sentiments, leafy sprigs, and textured background. I love how the Nature’s Symphony Stamp Set works for casual cards, scrapbook pages, and crafting all year long. It’s become one of my favorites for adding a touch of natural style to any project, whether I’m card making or working on scrapbook layouts.

Card Measurements:
- Base card: Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock (11″ x 4 1/4″)
- Layer #1: Pecan Pie Cardstock (5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″)
- Layer #2: Very Vanilla Cardstock (5″ x 2 3/4″)
- Layer #3: Nature’s Walk Designer Series Paper (DSP) (5″ x 1 1/2″)
- Layer #4: Strip of Copper Foil Sheet (5″ x 1/4″)
- Layer #5: Copper Foil Sheet (4″ x 3″) for leaves
- Layer #6: Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock (4″ x 3″) for leaves
- Inside of Card: Layer #1: Very Vanilla Cardstock (5 1/4″ x 4″)
- Layer #2: Strip of Nature’s Walk DSP (5 1/4″ x 1/4″)
- Envelope Flap: Nature’s Walk DSP (6″ x 2 1/4″)
Card Instructions:
To begin, Very Vanilla Cardstock was cut for the base card and folded in half using a Bone Folder for a nice sharp crease. Pecan Pie Cardstock came next, attached to the base card, and before adding the Very Vanilla Cardstock layer, it was embossed with the Stone & Ivy 3D Embossing Folder for that beautiful texture. A strip of Nature’s Walk DSP (the script pattern) was added to the left side of Layer #2, along with a thin strip of Copper Foil Sheet for a little shine.

For the copper leaves, Layer #5 was cut with the coordinating leaves die and attached to the front of the card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. To get that gorgeous variation in color, several shades were sponged over the leaves stamp image — Old Olive, Pecan Pie, and Cajun Craze all working together beautifully. This same image was then stamped onto Layer #6 Cardstock and cut with the coordinating die from the Nature’s Walk Dies, then attached to the base card with Stampin’ Dimensionals for a bit of added dimension.

To finish off the front, a bow was tied using Linen Thread, and copper dots from the Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots were scattered randomly across the card for extra sparkle.

Inside, Very Vanilla Cardstock was attached along with a thin strip of the same DSP used on the front, and a small leafy stem was stamped in Pecan Pie Ink. To tie everything together, that same DSP was added to the envelope flap for a cohesive, polished look.
