A Little Herd, A Lot of Heart — Safari Smiles Bundle

Hi Crafty Friends!

Adventure starts here with the Safari Smiles Bundle! Inside you’ll find playful, line-art animals you can color or shade, along with detailed dies that cut clean shapes and create layered scenery backdrops. The stamps and dies work together beautifully, making it easy to create designs that feel lively, fun, and full of heart — whether you’re making a family-focused card or a scrapbook page full of personality!

Safari Smiles Bundle

To make this card, I started by layering a piece of Pecan Pie cardstock onto Balmy Blue card base, then added a white panel on top. I sponged the upper portion of the white panel with Balmy Blue to create a soft sky effect, then used a cloud stamp or stencil to add those fluffy white clouds in the background. For the ground, I ran a piece of vanilla or Very Vanilla cardstock through the Stone & Vine 3D embossing folder with a floral/swirl design to give it that beautiful textured look, then layered it across the bottom of the panel to create the savanna floor.

Next came the fun part — the elephants! I stamped the mama elephant and both babies from the Safari Smiles stamp set, then colored them with Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends, adding just a hint of Pretty in Pink blush to their cheeks. I die cut each one using the coordinating dies, then popped them up on Stampin’ Dimensionals to give the scene that wonderful layered, dimensional look. The little blue bird perched on mama’s back was stamped separately and die cut as well — such a sweet little detail! I also die-cut the rocks using Pecan Pie cardstock and the grass in Garden Green , layering those into the background scenery to complete the savanna setting.

To finish the card, I stamped the “Just For You” sentiment onto a banner punched using the Three Banner Punch and tucked it into the upper left corner of the card. I love how the banner anchors the design and gives it that polished, finished look! The whole scene just came together so beautifully — that mama elephant leading her two little ones across the savanna is honestly one of the sweetest images I’ve ever put on a card. 🐘🐘🐘

I kept the inside of the card clean and simple, stamping a sweet row of little elephant footprints along the bottom in a Pecan Pie ink — just enough detail to carry the safari theme inside without overwhelming the space for a handwritten message. And because I love the little extras that make a card feel extra special, I ran the envelope flap through the same embossing folder I used on the card front, giving it that same beautiful texture. It’s one of my favorite finishing touches — when you open that envelope, you just know something special is inside! 🐘✉️
