Welcome to the SUDSOL Blog Tour

Good Morning Stampers:

SUDSOL

Welcome to the first ever SUDSOL Blog Tour.  For today's tour, I am showcasing the stamp set called "Peace Within".

Peace-Within

I used both new and outgoing colors.  Ruby Red has always been a favorite and I couldn't resist using it one last time before we say good bye.

Card

The base card is Ruby Red Card Stock.  The next layer is the Presto Patterns Specialty DSP from the Summer Mini.  This paper is gorgeous and it has a WOW factor.  You don't really know what the design looks like until you brayer it or sponge it or spritze it with color, then you say "WOW" because a beautiful design emerges.

I don't know if you can tell in the photo but the cushion is paper pieced Ruby Red Card Stock.  I ran it through the Big Shot using the Finial Press Textured Embossing Folder to give the pillow a quilted look.

The flowers are colored using Ruby Red Stampin' Write Marker and then I added glitter to the flowers and also the butterfly.  It's so pretty IRL.

Box

My next project is the Fancy Favor Box.  I ran a 6" x 12" piece of Ruby Red Textured Card Stock through the Big Shot using the Fancy Favor Die.  It's so simple and quick to make – the box comes out cut and scored – all you have to do is add sticky tape and assemble it.

The flower was made from Ruby Red Card Stock using the Extra Large Fancy Flower Punch from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  This is one of the items that will carry over into the big catalog which debuts on 1 July 2010.

  1. I absolutely love the card. I have the “Peace Within” stamp set myself and use it a lot since I’m a cat lover. I especially like the way you used the scallop trim border punch on a different color paper behind the orange paper.
