Royal Blog Tour – Watercolor Trio

Good Morning Royal Tourists – welcome to my castle.

All-3

For this tour, I'm showcasing the Watercolor Trio Stamp Set which is from the Summer Mini Catalog and will be available for purchase on 1 May 2010.

1st-card

This card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 which is turning out to be a favorite size for me.  I took Very Vanilla Card Stock (4 1/4" x 4 1/4") and fed it through the Big Shot using the Clear Circle Bigz Die.  The flower image from the Watercolor Trio was then colored with Perfect Plum, Pale Plum and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers and stamped on Very Vanilla Card Stock.  The scallop circle was made feeding Perfect Plum Card Stock (5" x 5") through the Big Shot using the Scallope Circle Bigz Die.  The ribbon is Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon from the Occasions Mini Catalog and the stick pin is from the Pretties Kit.  The background is Pale Plum Card Stock 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" feed through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Textured Impressions Folder.  What would I do without my big shot and dies?  The card goes together so much quicker when you have these dies to help you cut out and emboss your card stock.  What a time sver!

2nd-card

The next card is a very simple yet elegant card using the same stamp set (Watercolor Trio).  I just wanted to show you how you can use two very different styles of card making and yet the end result is the same – beautiful cards!  The base card is Naturals Ivory (I like to use a heavier card stock when using it as a base).  It's 5 1/2" x 11" folded in half.  The finish size is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"  I scored a line all around the edge of the card (about 1/2") to give it some definition.  The flower image was stamped using Perfect Plum Class Ink.  The sentiment is from the same set and was stamped also using Perfect Plum Classic Ink.  I used the Mat Pack and Piercing Tool on the upper right and lower left hand card to give it a final touch.

Box

This box uses the Fancy Favor Bigz XL Die and the Big Shot.  It came together in about ten minutes.  As I stated above, I don't know what I'd do without my Big Shot.  With a couple of turns of the Big Shot, you are able to create so many different shapes and items.  I assembled the box and secured it with Sticky Strip.  To finish off the box, I added Very Vanilla  Satin Ribbon, a label from the Very Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware and brads from the Ice Circle Rhinestones Brads collection.  For the filling, I fed Very Vanilla card stock through my shredder and then run each strip through my crimper.  Very quick and easy to do and you can use card stock that matches or complements the color of your 3D item.
