Simple Flower

Today's card is using the Simple Flower Sizzix Embosslits and Sizzlits Little Leaves.  I am using Cameo Coral with Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper.   It turned out a lot better than I thought it would.  Cameo Coral is not a favorite of mine (I've used it perhaps twice since it first came out) but it was one of the colors in Raspberry Tart.  This Embosslits (Simple Flower) is turning… Read More »

Manhattan Flower

Today's card is for SCS Limited Supplies Challenge LSC213 which is to use only black and white.    I thought that the Manhattan Flower textured impressions would be perfect for this challenge.   I used whisper white to emboss the flower and then cut it out along one of the edges.  The sentiment is stamped on Black Linen Textured card stock.  I used White craft ink and then heat embossed using White… Read More »

Girl Silhouette

This card was so much to make.  I saw the paper at Hobby Lobby a couple of weeks ago and  bought some not knowing how I was going to use it but I had to have it (KWIM?).  I took it out this morning and thought that a silhouette would be perfect for it.  If I had the SU stamp set Silhouettes (retired), I would have used it but alias I… Read More »

Upsy Daisy

Today's card is for kwernerdesignblog challenge which is to use the colors Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, White and So Saffron.  The technique I used to color the image is called rock n roll.  I first stamped in So Saffron and then rolled the stamp (edges) over the Tangerine Tango.  The ribbon is a gift from Sam (one of my blogging buddies).  Thanks Sam!   Recipe: Stamp Set:  Upsy Daisy Paper: … Read More »

I just received my new Nestabilities called Labels Tree from Ellen Hutson.  I also received gorgeous, gorgeous paper called Fashionista Potpourri by Grapic 45.  Did I tell you it was beautiful?  I ordered on Sunday and I received it on Wednesday – that was fast!  Thanks Ellen! The image is from In Style Stamps.  A lot of their stamps are retro – check them out. Recipe: Stamp:  Ginger Paper:  Whisper… Read More »
