Morning Soft

I love morning glories but they have such a short growing season and I don't get to enjoy them as long as I would like to.  I love the way they bloom in the morning and then once the sun hits them, they close up.

Today's card is called Morning Soft.  I first ink up the stamp using versamark, then inked it up with basic black.  I added clear embossing powder and then embossed using the heat tool.   Using the versamark and classic ink gave it a sharper image than using craft black ink.

I lightly sponged around the image using post it notes to give that "framed" look.  I colored in the image using a blender pen and Lovely Lilac Classic ink.  I used the blender pen and ink pad vs the Lovely Lilac Stampin' Write Marker to control the amount of color I wanted to use on each petal.  The leaves were colored using Certainly Celery and Old Olive.

Recipe:

  • Stamp Set:  Morning Glory
  • Paper:  Whisper White, Lovely Lilac, Old Olive, Prints Pattern Lovely Lilac Designer Series Paper
  • Ink:  Versamark, Classic Basic Black, Lovely Lilac, Old Olive, Certainly Celery
  • Accessories:  Blender Pens, Half Pearls, Sponge

Thanks for visiting and see you tomorrow!

The sentiment…
