Learn how to make a Masculine card for Color Throwndown #ctd754

Good Morning Stampin’ Friends

Hope you had an enjoyable weekend. We certainly did – received rain on both Saturday and Sunday which helped cool things down a bit.

Today’s post is a card I made for the Color Throwdown cdt#754 Challenge.

I used the Nature’s Prints Bundle using the colors Mossy Meadow, Pecan Pie and Very Vanilla. The white was in the sentiment which was embossed with White Embossing Powder.

I first stamped one of the leaf images with Mossy Meadow Ink, then stamped another image with Pecan Pie Ink. For the splatter effect, I stamped the image off and then stamped on the card. I felt that it gave it the kraft color (one of the color requirements).

As mentioned above, the sentiment was stamped with Versamark, added White Embossing Powder and then set with the Heat Tool. It was then die cut with the Deckled Rectangles Dies. The rhinestones are from the retired Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels which I colored with the Mossy Meadow Dark Stampin’ Blends. The ribbon is Crumb Cake from the Craft Twine Essentials Pack.

Base card is Crumb Cake Cardstock, Layer #1 is Mossy Meadow Cardstock that was die cut with the Deckled Rectangle Dies. Top layer is Very Vanilla Cardstock.

Repeated layers for the inside of the card except I stamped the large leave with Mossy Meadow Ink on the lower right hand corner. I stamped the same image on the front of the envelope.

Thanks again for stopping by and spending a bit of your time with me. I hope you enjoyed learning about how this card came together. Hopefully you were even inspired just a bit. If you enjoyed my project for today, please be sure to visit my Card Gallery for lots of ideas and inspiration. Have a great day!

If you need any items to make the above project and/or stampin’ supplies, I’d be very happy to be your demonstrator.  Just click on this link for instant access to my store.

Or you can drop me an e-mail if you have any questions or would like for me to place the order for you.

The free gift for August is anything from the catalog or online exclusive for $10 or less.

Use this month’s host code when you order $35 or greater and receive that month’s free gift from me!  If your order is over $150, please do not use this code. Not using my host code (if your order is over $150) entitles you to free Stampin’ rewards and you’ll still get the monthly free gift.

Note: Make sure that you can see my name on the final checkout page listed as your Demonstrator when you order so that you know that you’re ordering with me.

Thank you Wanda! I love this color challenge – I use colors I would not normally use.
