Layered Leaves, Cozy Hello: An Elegant Fall Card

Hi Crafty Friends!

I’m so happy with how this fall card turned out! 🍁 Layering die-cut leaves in rich autumn shades—deep red, olive green, and golden yellow—gave the design so much texture and dimension. A simple linen thread bow and a sweet “hello” leaf tag tie it all together against a gorgeous pumpkin-and-floral patterned paper. This one’s proof that the Elegant Leaves Bundle makes fall crafting feel effortless and beautiful.

What I did to make this card:

For the base card, Very Vanilla Cardstock was cut to 11″ x 4 1/4″ and folded in half with a Bone Folder for a sharp, clean crease. A layer of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock, cut to 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″, was added to the base, followed by a piece of Autumn Opulence Designer Series Paper cut to 5 1/4″ x 4″ and attached to the front of the card. To bring in some texture, a strip of Very Vanilla Cardstock, cut to 5 1/4″ x 2″, was embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder and attached to the left side of the card front (see photo for placement).

The leaves came together using Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, and Autumn Opulence DSP, die cut with coordinating dies from the Elegant Leaves Dies, along with Old Olive and Crushed Curry Cardstock cut using dies from the same set. Stampin’ Dimensions were used to attach the leaves to the Very Vanilla strip, layered for depth (see photo for placement). A sentiment was stamped in Blackberry Bliss Ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock and cut out with one of the leaf dies from the Elegant Leaves Dies, then finished with a triple bow made from Linen Baker’s Twine from the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack.

Inside, a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock cut to 5 1/4″ x 4″ was attached with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, and a small leaf die cut from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock was tucked into the lower right corner for a sweet finishing detail. To tie the whole project together, the envelope flap was decorated with the same DSP used on the front, giving the card a polished, coordinated look from front to bac
