Just Because Cards Made Easy with the Flowering Meadows Bundle

I wanted to make a clean and simple card today, and the Flowering Meadows Bundle and Velvet Meadow Designer Series Paper immediately came to mind! Several of the dies coordinate perfectly with the prints in the DSP, so I was able to put this card together without any stamping at all — except for the sentiment. I love that the stamps and dies in this bundle are designed to work together, making it so easy to cut out flowers with clean, precise edges. And the sentiments cover so many occasions — thanks, celebrations, encouragement, or just because — which is exactly why this is one of my go-to bundles whenever I need to create a card in a hurry!

To start, I cut a piece of Cloud Cover Cardstock to 11″ x 4¼” and folded it in half, using my Bone Folder to get a nice sharp crease. For my first layer, I cut a piece of Velvet Meadows DSP to 5⅜” x 4⅛” and used the coordinating dies to cut out flowers and leaves right from the patterned paper.

I glued those to the left side of the layer, then stamped my sentiment in Peaceful Pine — one of our fun new In-Colors!

I ran the layer through my Stampin’ & Emboss Machine with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder to add a little texture, then scored three lines below the image and sentiment for some extra visual interest. I kept things intentionally simple on this one — no ribbon, no embellishments — just clean and pretty! 🌸

For the inside of the card, I added a layer of Velvet Meadows DSP cut to 5¼” x 4″ using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I then fussy cut a flower and some leaves with my Paper Snips and attached those with the same glue. To finish it off, I added a strip of the same DSP cut to 6″ x 2¼” and trimmed it to fit perfectly. 🌸
