Heartland

Today is my son, Louie’s, birthday. He would have been 55 years old – he died in 1995. After we moved to Arkansas, he enjoyed his frequent visits here and said he would come and live here to be near me. When Stampin’ Up! came up with the image of the little farm boy in the Heartland Stamp Set, I knew I would buy this set and always keep it.

Sorry about the little angel. I bought it 1995 and it’s fallen off the shelf a couple of times. I wished I would have bought several and then replaced them as needed.

The image was stamped with Black Tuxedo Ink and colored in using the Night of Navy Light Stampin’ Blends, Crumb Cake Light Stampin’ Bends for the hair and Balmy Blue Stampin’ Write Marker for the cuffs on the pants.

Notice the border on the Nature’s Thoughts Frame. Love it – this die set is a keeper! The sprig was punched out using the Sprig Punch with Shaded Spruce Card Stock.
