Forever Fern for My Friend, Becky

By | November 13, 2022

Good Morning Crafters!

What’s happening this week:

For today’s card, I am featuring the Forever Fern Stamp Set for my best friend, Becky, from California. She had a minor stroke a couple of weeks and is recovering. With this set, you can create cards and accents with the detailed leaves. The images come out so beautiful because this is a Distinktive** stamp set; it has a special texture that gives added depth and dimension in a single step, creating photo-realistic images.

I first typed in the sentiment using Canva for the text and printed it out on cardstock. I then drew a line around the text using a Gold Sharpie.

I created the clouds with a cloud template and Starry Sky Ink making sure to sponge off until I had a light color. Using the splatter image from the set, I stamped it with Versamark and heat set it with the Gold Embossing Powder and Heat Tool.

I cut a piece of printer paper to mask the greeting and gold lines created with the sharpie. Using the various leaf images from the stamp set, I stamped them in the following inks:

  • Evening Evergreen
  • Stary Sky
  • Old Olive
  • Soft Succuent
  • Garden Green
  • Shaded Spruce

I die cut the flap of the envelope with the Envelope Dies and then added a strip of the retired Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper.

If you need any stamping supplies or products to make this card, I’d be very happy to be your Demonstrator. Just click on the images below or the Online store to the right side of the screen. I just found you! What a beautiful, artistic card. I have never thought to print out a sentiment on cardstock. I hope your friend recovers fully.
