Good afternoon crafters!
Today’s post is a challenge with Karen Titus (Back Porch Stampers). The challenge was to use a 6 x 6 sheet of designer series paper to make a card with no scraps left over. I used the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper (12 x 12) and one of the sheets down to 6 x 6.
Instructions:
- Base Card: 11″ x 4 1/4″ (Sweet Sorbet Cardstock), scored at 5 1/2″ and folded in half using the Bone Folder for a sharper crease.
- Cut 2 3/4″ off one side (longer side) and set aside for later
- Use the below template to cut out your 6 x 6 paper.
- Attach the piece (labeled #1) to the inside of the card and the piece (#2) to the front of the card.
- Take the cardstock piece you cut off from the base card and attach it sideways to the front of the card.
- Cut the #3 piece in half so that it is long enough to go across the length of the #2 piece.
- Add piece #4 to front of piece #2 (see card) on a diagonal (see card) and decorate.
You can step it up by adding another layer of card such I did using Basic White cardstock.
I also added a piece of white cardstock to the inside of the card for writing a message.
Of course, I used extra DSP for the envelope flap.
It’s a lot of fun to participate in challenges especially when you’ve are feeling the MOJO! I try and participate a couple of times a month.
Thanks again for stopping by and spending a bit of your time with me. I hope you enjoyed learning about how this card came together. Hopefully you were even inspired just a bit. If you enjoyed my project for today, please be sure to visit my Card Gallery for lots of ideas and inspiration. Have a great day!
