Timeless Talk – Masculine Monday

For todays’ card, I’m using the Timeless Talk Clear Mount Stamp Set which includes images from the early 19th century, when telephones, recorders, and bicycles were the latest new fad! The hair world borrowed the term ‘Ombre’ from the French word meaning shaded or shading.  In art, it means beautiful color gradation. In case you are not familiar with the technique, you color across (back and forth) on a piece of windows… Read More »

Giggle Greetings

Hi Stampin’ Friends Sorry I’ve been MIA the last couple of days but I’ve been really busy trying to get ready for convention.  Today’s card features the core-dinations card stock which you saw demonstrated on Sunday’s video. The card stock is awesome!  It’s sandable cardstock for an antiqued, distressed, color-popping look.  Outside layers are exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors—one side textured, one side smooth. Inside layer monochromatic color.   You can reveal… Read More »

So Shabby Chic!

Hi Stampin’ Friends I want to wish my granddaughter, Rachel, a very, very Happy 7th Birthday! On the way to Wal-Mart for groceries yesterday morning, we kept encountering dead armadillos on the road  AKA  Arkansas Speed Bumps or according to my husband a “Good Armadillo”!  The North American nine-banded armadillo tends to jump straight in the air when surprised, and consequently often collides with the undercarriage or fenders of passing vehicles. … Read More »

Happy Day

Hi Stampin’ Friends Have you heard the saying “Dog Days of Summer”?  That usually happens in August around here but it’s that hot now!  Oh well, it’s a good excuse to stay indoors and work on my beloved cards! Since I had the Modern Medley DSP out, I decided to use it again today but give it a shabby chic look.  Check out the Masculine card I made yesterday with the… Read More »

Blooming with Kindness

Hi Stampin’ Friends I wanted to share the only picture I have that was taken during my birthday party.  It is of the 4 Rachel’s in our family.  It is not a good picture because my granddaughter would not get out of the pool and dry off to take the picture.  Oh well! Left to right (my niece, aunt, me and granddaughter) For today’s card, I decided to go shabby… Read More »
