Gnome for Halloween

I am so much fun making this card.  It features the Gnomes for the Holiday Stamp Set Bundle but with a twist.  I used it as a Halloween card. The background is the Bokeh Background Technique.  I used the colors Citrus Cooler, Lavender Fusion, Electric Lime and Whip Cream for the background.  I used the Citrus Cooler and Electric Lime Silks on the background for texture. The images were colored… Read More »

Stay Sassy

The dictionary describes “Sassy” as lively, bold, and full of spirit; cheeky.  And that’s exactly what these images are!  The Stay Sassy Stamp Set makes a perfect card for teenage girls or when you want to send out a word of encouragement. Today’s card uses the Shaving Cream Technique using the Pool Play Reinker and, of course, shaving cream. I also did the paper piecing technique and cut the dress… Read More »

Happy Birthday Troy

It is so hard to make a card for a grandson who is turning 20.  I didn’t want something to juvenile for him nor too adult so I went with the Star-Dom Dies. The background is the ink pad to paper technique and I used the Catalina Splash and Pineapple Smoothie Ink Pads for this. I also used the Sparkle Silk and Catalina Splash Reinker (with a Blending Brush) to… Read More »

No stamping on this card!  The Spring is computer generated and the Hello was die cut from the Amazing Exclusive Set. The technique is called the Eclipse Card.   I’ve seen lots of samples of it recently, they really caught my eye and I wanted to have a try it. Download the  Hello Spring Supply List… Read More »

Storybook Occasions

The background was made using the Shaving Cream Technique.  I added Blue Lagoon Reinker and Summer Days Reinker to the shaving cream.  I think everyone knows this technique – it’s been around for a while. The chick and eggs were colored in using the Journey Burst Watercolor Pencils in… Read More »

Designer Series Stencil

For today’s card, I decided to remake a card I made a couple of weeks ago because I wasn’t too happy with the colors.  To see card, click here This is cased from the Bloom This Way Mini Trends Catalog (page 49).  Love the way this one came out. I also used the reverse side of the Green Olive Satin Ribbon so that it wasn’t as shiny. So which one… Read More »

Everyday Script

Today’s card features a technique I saw on Deb Valder’s video on youtube.   It’s like the card featured on page 41 of the Bloom This Way Trends Mini Catalog. I used the Everyday Script Stamp Set and the Designer Series Stencil from the mini catalog. I also had a chance to use the Rainbow Dots that I ordered during the 12 days of Christmas. Download the supply list:  Everyday Script… Read More »
