Masculine Monday

Good Morning Stampers Today's card is for my other grandson Troy whose birthday is on Wednesday, 31 March.  I also added a star on his card because all my grandchildren are stars in my eyes. These extreme sports/hobbies stamps by Stampin' Up! (like Extreme Guitar and Extreme Skateboard) are perfect for that special someone between the ages of 10 and 21 when it's so hard to make a card for them… Read More »

Extreme Skateboard

Good Morning Stampers Today's card is for my grandson David.  Did I tell you that there are four David's in our family?  There's my husband David, my son-in-law David, my grandson David and his other grandfather David.  Well, there were five Davids in our family (and this is hard for me to talk about), but my husband's son David died about three years ago. The colors for this card came from… Read More »

Sincere Salutations

Today's my hubby's birthday and we celebrated by going out to his favorite restaurant called Crabby's!   He had King Crab Legs while I had a salad and dessert!  I can't eat seafood because I'm allergic to it – okay that's not why I don't eat it. But it's easier to say I'm allergic to it than to say I'm a picky eater! (LOL).  How do you feel about seafood?  Leave… Read More »

Voila

Good Morning Stampers Here's another card that I made outside my comfort zone.  I find that masculine and trendy cards are so hard for me to make.  And I don't why that is so. But make them I must and this card is for my son-in-law Gary who lives out in Sunny Southern California.    My daughter Deena wanted a barbecue  theme card because Gary loves to barbecue but I don't… Read More »

At last!

Good Morning Stampers Well I finally jumped on the wagon and recorded a video. Don't know why I waited so long! This is my first one so please be gentle with me (LOL). Here's the card: I cased the card from Chera Wiest of Create Embellish Adore and she was nice enough to give me permission to do a video on how to make this cute, cute card. Love You Much

Good Morning Stampers I think I can say I finally caught up with everything after my trip to leadership.  I think I did, anyway, okay, I haven't vacuumed or dusted as yet but I will before my class on Wednesday (LOL). I've been experimenting with the Shimmer Paint spray and I think I got carried away with spraying the heart.  I didn't realize this until I took pictures of the… Read More »

Happy Birthday Ryan

Good Morning Stampers Today's post features a birthday card for our grandson Ryan who lives in Seattle.  Usually making a card for a teenage boy can be very difficult but when Stampin' Up! introduced the extreme sports stamps, I knew I had to have all of them.  They are perfect for teenagers and even young males in their 20's. I used the Night and Day Designer Series Paper which is retiring today (4… Read More »

Saying good by to Branch Out

Good morning stampers! The Branch Out (one of my favorite) stamp sets is retiring on 4 January 2010.  I like that you could use it for every season and it wasn't a stamp set that sat on your shelf until the season it was meant for arrived.  But, alas, it is retiring.  I have sold quite a few this month so I guessed it's a favorite for many of my… Read More »

Extreme Surfboard

I had a last minute request for a teenage boy's birthday card.  I decided to use the Extreme Surfboard stamp – I'm extremely happy with the way it came out even though I almost ruined when I stamped  Happy Birthday on the upper right hand.  Did I save the card? What do you think?   I had stamped the Happy Birthday directly on the card and smeared the black ink. … Read More »
