Masculine Monday – Happy Birthday Tanner

Happy Monday everyone – hope you had a fantastic weekend! Today’s card is for my grandson, Tanner, who is turning 19 on 28 June 2014.  I cannot believe how fast time flies.  He is my oldest grandchild and yet it seems like it was yesterday that I was holding him in my arms.   I chose a DJ digital image for his card because that is his hobby right now. … Read More »

Happy Birthday Cissy!

My granddaughter, Cissy, loves owls so it was relatively easy to make her a card.  Her bedroom colors are red, white and black and I decided to use those colors for her card.  I find it very difficult to make cards for teenage girls because they are so picky!  Which age group do you have a problem with for cards?I used Red Glimmer Paper to give the card a little “oomph!”… Read More »

Masculine Monday

Today’s card is one I made for my grandson, David, who turned 15.  I wanted to keep it as simple as possible and do it as fast as possible because I started his card 30 minutes before we were due to pick up for his Birthday dinner!  Talk about working under pressure – and I did it to myself.  Do you procrastinate (like me?) or do you give yourself plenty… Read More »

What kind of card do you give a teenage boy?

I struggle with this every year now that my grandsons are teenagers.    Since I know my grandson, Troy,  plays the guitar once in a while, I decided to go with the Rocker Silhouette (Extreme Guitar Stamp Brush Set) for the focal point on his card.   Have you seen the other Extreme Sports Silhouettes available only in digital downloads?  There a snowboarder, a surfer, a dirt bike  rider and a… Read More »

Keep Calm and Shamrock On!

Hi everyone hope you had a nice weekend.  It started raining and then snowing again today – bah humbug!  I wanted to make a St. Patrick’s Day card for Monday (3/17/2014) and I decided to dust off the Owl Punch and use it for my card. When my granddaughter Rachel saw this card she really liked it and said that her second-grade teacher loved owls.  Since I didn’t have anyone… Read More »

Baby, we’ve grown!

Is there anything sweeter than a baby? If something comes close, it’s the Baby, We’ve Grown stamp set, which celebrates a new baby–boy or girl.  It includes 7 stamps and coordinates with the Starburst Framelits Dies.  The stamp set is super adorable and there’s so many ways to use this cute stamp set!  You’ll love the adorable cute shoes and the oh so cute bunny!  I plan to use the bunny… Read More »

See Ya Later!

The See Ya Later Stamp Set from the 2014 Sale-a-bration is the cutest stamp set.  I can’t show you the alligator image on this set as yet, but it is soooo adorable and it bring back memories.  Every time my granddaughter, Rachel, leaves, I always say “see you later alligator” and she cannot leave until she replies “after while crocodile”. (LOL) One of the good things about designer series paper is that it… Read More »

When is a negative positive?

When it’s a picture of Poppa & Rachel!  Since the Film Strip in the On Film Framelits Dies, from the Occasions catalog,  reminds me of the film for cameras that still use 35MM still format, I decided to use a picture of them and make a negative out of that picture.   This card is for David’s birthday.  It’s on 21 February 2014 so I am way ahead of the game – usually… Read More »
