A Kind Word

I cannot believe I am making this card for my granddaughter, Sydney, so far in advance.  Her birthday isn't until  13 September.  I'm usually rushing around making a card and trying to get it in the mail before her birthday!  I love these two little girls from a Kind Word and they are perfect for my 10 year old granddaughter. I decide to use Parisian Breeze DSP which retired last month… Read More »

Friends 24-7

This stamp set is one of my favorites because you know I love floral stamp sets!  The designer series paper is Raspberry Tart which retired last month (boohoo).  I decided to use watercolor paper with this card.  I stamped the image with Black Stazon, then colored in the flowers with Regal Rose and Rose Red Stampin' Write Markers.  The leaves were colored in using a blender pen and Kiwi Kiss… Read More »

Lovely Flowers

Today's card was made using the sketch (SSC 106) from Stamping 411.  I used the stamp set from the Lovely Flowers Bundle, Level 3 Hostess Stamp Set. I used a blender pen and the Mambo Mellon Classic Ink Pad because I wanted a lighter touch on the flowers and the markers was too dark. I stamped the flower images on Whisper White card stock with Black Stazon.  I then colored… Read More »

Lovely Flowers

This is a very appropriate name for this Hostess Level 3 Lovely Flowers Bundle.  The designer series paper in the bundle is absolutely gorgeous! I used Splitcoast Stamper's Wednesday's Sketch SC233 for the layout.  It is so easy to make a card when I used a completed sketch from the vast resources out there on the internet. I used the designer series paper as the main focus on this card. … Read More »

Asian Artistry

I made this card for today's New Catalog Party.  I love the new color Melon Mambo.  The designer paper is Razzleberry Lemonade.  The stamp set is Asian Artistry, Level 2 Hostess Stamp Set.  As demonstrators, we were able to order it during the preorder period (June 2009).  Isn't it a beautiful stamp?  When I ordered it, I inadvertently order the spanish version and now I can't use the sentiment!  But… Read More »

This is it!

This is it!  My last card of the 2009 Spring Summer Idea Book & Catalog.  This stamp is also retiring along with the DSP which is Sweet Slumber Specialty. I've announced the winner of my blog candy in the previous post.  It's Jessica Kerr so if you know her, let her know.  Also, I have some more blog candy (see top of page) to celebrate that my site has been viewed 5,000 in… Read More »

Soft Summer

A couple of you have asked me why I wasn't showing cards with the new "stuff" from the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog.  I wanted to showcase all the wonderful stamp sets that are retiring this month and I knew I wouldn't be using them after 30 June 2009. I will be showing cards featuring the new stamp sets and the gorgeous new in-colors beginning on 1 July 2009.  I… Read More »

Friends 24/7

Today's post includes the stamp set Friends 24/7.  It's one of my favorite stamp sets but until today, I had not used the medallion stamp from the set.  I inked up the stamp with Bordering Blue and then careful rolled the edges in Not Quite Navy.  The technique is called Rock n Roll. The sentiment is computer generated.  The designer series paper is Bella Bleu.  I am so glad this… Read More »

Stitch Exotics

Today's post includes another of my favorite stamp sets that is retiring – Stitched Exotics.  I also used the Sweet Always Designer Series Paper which is also retiring as of 30 June 2009. Today's post is short – I had a class or rather two classes today and I'm pooped.  I just hope my customers enjoyed the classes as much as I did! Thanks for visiting To purchase any of… Read More »

Good By to Doodle This

It's like a I just discovered this stamp set!  I used it a lot when it first came out and then I somehow put it away and forgot about it.  I've used it several times recently when I discovered it was in the "Last Chance" List.  It does make the prettiest petals.  The designer paper is Sweet Slumber Designer Specialty Series Paper which is also retiring at the end of… Read More »
