Hi Stampers   This card is for Friday's New Techniques Class.  The technique has been called "double embossing" and "dry and wet/heat embossing".   I'll have a video on how to do this technique after the class on Friday.  The other card the ladies will be making can be found here.   The embossing folder used for this card is called Flower Garden and it's from the Summer Mini catalog.  One of… Read More »

Happiness Shared with Love Letters DSP

Hi Stampers!  I love the gorgeously life-like flowers in our Happiness Shared Stamp Set and decided to use it with the First Edition Designer Series Paper and the retiring Love Letter Designer Series Paper.  I also included the retired Raven Lace Trim and Black Flourish Designer Jewels from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  The floral image from the Happiness Shared Stamp Set was stamped with Versamark on the First Edition DSP.  I… Read More »

Goodbye, Goodbye

Hi Stampers  I think that this is my favorite sentiment from the retiring All the Holidays Stamp Set.  Whether you need a quick Mother’s Day card or a creepy Halloween tag, this assortment of greetings covers most of the year's holidays! I used it with the Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paperwhich is also retiring on 30 June 2011.  One of the things I love about Stampin' UP! is that everything coordinates! … Read More »

Faith in Nature – sneak peek

Hi Stampers  This is one of the hostess stamp sets which we (demonstrators) are able to purchase as a pre-order from the 2011/2012 Idea Book & Catalog.  I Love the three images in the Faith in Nature Stamp Set.  It contains a leaf, flower and pearl – all simply beautiful.  It was hard for me to only choose two of the hostess sets from all that are available for purchase until 30 June 2011… Read More »

Because I Care

Hi Stampers Today I received a beautiful card from one of my blog readers, Lisa.  I had ordered Princess House items from her and when she sent me the receipt, she enclosed the below card.  I think it's called a shadow box card and it's simply gorgeous.  It's Rich Razzleberry and Tempting Turquoise.  You can't see it in the picture but the flower was cut out and adhered to the… Read More »

Fancy Flowers

Hi Stampers Here's the card I was working on yesterday.  Today's card features the Fancy Flower Stamp Set.  I Love this stamp set and hope it doesn't retire come 1 July 2011 because it's one of my favorite even though I haven't used it very much lately.  There are a  lot of things going on with this card.  The Very Vanilla Card Stock was partially embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing… Read More »

Sincere Salutations

Hi Stampers   My stamping coach, John, challenged us to use one of our oldest (current) stamp sets in our inventory.  For me, it was a toss up between Sincere Salutations and Lovely as a Tree.  I decided to use Sincere Salutations since it's always been a favorite and a "go to" sentiment stamp set.    I also decided to use the Doily Triple Layer Punch from the Summer Mini Catalog to create the… Read More »
