Bloom with Hope

There is story behind today’s card! When I was looking for seeds to plant flowers (like the ones across the street from our house – see picture above) around our mailbox, I thought I had picked up the seed packet for Black Eye Susans. I inadvertently  picked up the Sunflower Seed Packet.  My husband planted them thinking I wanted Sunflowers.  Didn’t realize I had the wrong ones until they started… Read More »

Happy Birthday Rachel

This is the reason I make cards!   When I make cards for my kids, grandkids and close friends, I always personalize it which means I may buy outside Stampin’ Up! for that perfect image.  In this case, I found a digital image of a DJ (my grandson Tanner’s hobby) and made a card for his birthday.  You can view it here.    I received a text from my grandson below thanking… Read More »

Regarding Dahlia

Big Bold stamp images call for big bold colors!  I used the Regarding Dahlia Clear Mount Stamp Set for today’s post.I colored in the flower image with the Cherry Cobbler Assortment Blendabilities.    Tomorrow, on Tuesday, 1 July 2014, you will be able to order some of the blendabilities and, trust me, you will love them.  My customers have used them at class and they can hardly wait to get… Read More »

Chalk Talk

For today’s post, I’m combining the modern, edgy, grunge Chalk Talk Stamp Set with the Shabby Chic Look. Love the combination of Crisp Cantaloupe with Soft Suede!  And I love, love our new Venetian Crochet Trim! The flower is a Non-SU item but everything else is Stampin’ Up!.  The ribbon is the Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon which was dipped in a solution of Crisp Cantaloupe Reinker and water.  While… Read More »

Stipple Blossoms

We get caught up in the excitement of the new catalog and new stamp sets that we neglect some our favorites that carried over.   I am so glad that the Stipple Blossoms Stamp Set carried over so we are able to enjoy it and create beautiful cards for another year.  Which favorite stamp set carried over for you? Roses are my favorite flowers, as  I mentioned a couple of days… Read More »

Sweetbriar Rose

Roses are my favorite flowers especially the old fashion kind.  This one is a Sweetbriar Rose and originated in Europe where they make tea from it (Rose Hips Tea).  Though the real Sweetbriar Rose is pink I decide to color this one in our gorgeous new blue called Lost Lagoon (2014-2016 In-Color).  I love the names that Stampin’ Up! selects for their colors! If  you would like to place an… Read More »

Happy Birthday to my BFF Becky!

Today’s card is for my best friend, Becky, who lives in California.  We have been friends since 1960 (high school) and are godmother to each of our daughters. The image is not a Stampin’ Up! stamp set but I loved it and is so Becky and me!   We laugh now as much as we used to in high school!  The other friend we are close to is Diana who lives… Read More »

Happy Anniversary Stef & David

This card is a little late – Stephanie and David’s anniversary was on 2 June 2014!  But better late than never – right?  I used the Everything Eleanor Clear Mount Stamp Set – love this set – it’s so elegant and classy! I stamped the images with Versamark, then heat embossed them using the Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and our Heat Tool.   I then used the brayer and and… Read More »
