Animal Stories

This has got to be one of the cutest stamp sets from Stampin' Up! in a long time!  I love this stamp set and my preference is usually the flowery ones.  All the images are cute from the Giraffe to the Elephant to the Whale to the Owl (which I think is a cat!).

I used the Tall Tales Designer Series Paper with Brilliant Blue and Old Olive card stock.  The image was stamped in Brilliant Blue on Whisper White card stock.  The layering is pretty simple – nothing fancy. 

TIP:  Instead of coloring the sentiment with two different markers, I first stamped the sentiment in Brilliant Blue, then carefully cleaned off the blue ink (with a Q-tip) off the heart.  I then colored the little heart in Rose Red and stamped on Whisper White card stock.  It saved having to the color the sentiment with markers.

I used embroidery thread to anchor the buttons to the Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon.
