A Case of Bamboo Beauty

By | October 1, 2021

CASE – This stands for “Copy and Share Card/Copy and Share Everything”. If you see a card and there’s something you just love about it, go ahead and copy and share what you create! It’s one of the best things to do to get your mojo working again. In this instance I saw a video by the very talented Mary Deatherage making this card and I absolutely loved it. So I cased it!☺️

The Bamboo Beauty Stamp Set is probably one of the most overlooked sets in the catalog but in looking at Pinterest, I saw some amazing cards using this set.

Card Measurements:

  1. Base card: Evening Evergreen Cardstock 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
  2. Next Layer: Pale Papaya Cardstock 5 1/4″ x 4″
  3. Top Layer: Basic White Cardstock 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″
  4. Circle: Evening Evergreen Shimmer Vellum 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
  5. Greeting: Pale Papaya Shimmer Vellum 3 1/4″ x 1 1/4″

What I did:

  1. Take base card and fold in half using a Bone Folder for a sharper crease.
  2. Attach Pale Papaya Cardstock to base card with the Multi-purpose Liquid Glue
  3. Stamp Bamboo images with Evening Evergreen ink for the large bamboo and Soft Succulent Ink for the smaller bamboo stalk. See card for placement.
  4. Stamp large leaf with Evening Evergreen ink. Stamp twice with out re-inking (see card for placement)
  5. Stamp small leaf with Soft Succulent ink. Again stamp twice without re-inking (see card for placement)
  6. Spritz upper left top and lower right bottom of front panel using the retired Color Spritzer Tool and the Soft Succulent Stampin’ Write Marker.
  7. Die cut the front panel with the Stitched Rectangle Die. Place die to the right side of the card front (see card).
  8. Adhere front panel to card with liquid glue.
  9. Add the cut out panel to the front of the front panel with Stamping Dimensionals (see card)
  10. Attach the front panel to the base card with liquid glue.
  11. Die cut the vellum using one of the circles from the Layering Circles Dies. Emboss circle with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.
  12. Adhere to front of card with the Mini Glue Dots
  13. Stamp the sentiment with Evening Evergreen ink onto the Pale Papaya Vellum. Use the Heat Tool to quickly dry the ink. Move the Heat Tool continuously over the vellum to keep it from warping.
  14. Attach to the front of the card with the Mini Glue Dots.
  15. Finish off with a rhinestone from the 2021-2023 In-color Jewels and a ribbon of your choice.
  16. Whew – you’re done!😋

Thanks for stopping by today – have a great weekend!
