According to the Chinese Zodiac, the Year of 2011 is the Year of the Golden Rabbit, which begins on February 3, 2011 and ends on January 22, 2012. The Rabbit is the fourth sign of the Chinese Zodiac, which consists of 12 animals signs. The Rabbit is a lucky sign. Rabbits are private individuals and a bit introverted. People born in the Year of the Rabbit are reasonably friendly individuals who enjoy the company of a group of good friends. They are good teachers, counselors and communicators, but also need their own space.
To celebrate the day, I decided to make a card using our very own Chocolate Bunny. Though the Chocolate Bunny Stamp is retired, it is available as a digital download WHOOT – now I can continue to use it! This stamp brush features one over-sized chocolate bunny. So real that you might be tempted to take a bite! I love this bunny, was sorry it retired, and used it last year on this post - it was so much fun to make that card, you have to check it out. And, of course, this year's bunny card is just as fun to make though it's not funny as last year's.
I printed out the bunny in Regal Rose ink on Whisper White Card Stock and used the Ovals Originals Die for the oval. It was then attached to the Regal Rose Card Stock with Stampin' Dimensionals. The ribbon is Whisper White 5/8" Organza Ribbon. After I tied the bow and attached it to the card stock, I heated the ribbon gently with the Heat Tool to give it that "crumpled" look. You don't want to heat it too much or hold the tool too close because you may burn a hole in the ribbon like I did the first time I tried it! (LOL).
The next layer is Whisper White card stock embossed with the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The basecard is Regal Rose Card Stock.
