Hope every one had a wonderful weekend and were able to spend it with family and/or friends.
A friend of one of my customers bought a gift certificate for my customers. I made the below card to go along with the gift certificate.
The flower image from the Friends Never Fade Stamp Set was colored in using Wild Wasabi and So Saffron Stampin' Write Markers and stamped on Very Vanilla card stock. The lower portion was embossed with one of my all time favorite embossing folders, Vintage Wallpaper.
The base card was embossed using the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder. I added the 5/8" Victorian Crochet Trim to give the card a vintage look. The button is from the Subtle Designer Buttons Collection.
I embossed the top flap of the envelope to match the embossing on the front of the card. Though I forgot to take a picture of the inside, the inside layer is stamped with the same image as the main image but was stamped off once to give a subtle look.
One of the key ingredients to making the perfect card is to use the Color Coach with trying to come up with a color scheme. I would never have thought of using So Saffron with Wild Wasabi without the color coach.
