Falling for You: A Floral Heart Anniversary Card with the Opulence & Autumn DSP

Hi Crafty Friends!
Since my best friend’s anniversary falls in late September, I thought I’d use autumn accents for her card. I wanted to capture the beauty of the fall season, so I reached for the Autumn Opulence Specialty Designer Series Paper. I love how it features elegant painted pumpkins, acorns, foliage, and coordinating patterns, plus two sheets of precut designs — this paper pack brings such a refined fall feel to my projects.

Card Measurements:
- Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock: Base card (11″ x 4 1/4″)
- Very Vanilla Cardstock Interior
- (5 1/4″ x 4″)
- & scrap for sentiment
- Blackberry Bliss Cardstock:
- Layer for front of card: (5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″)
- Layer for interior (5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″)
- Floral Heart Die (5″ x 4″)
- Scrap for tiny hearts
- Autumn Opulence Designer Series Paper (DSP):
- Layer for front of card: 5 1/4″ x 4″)
- Strip for inside (5 1/4″ x 1/4″)
- Envelope Flap: (6″ x 2 1/4″)
Card Instructions:
I started by taking Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock and folding it in half using a Bone Folder for a sharp, clean crease. Next, I layered two pieces of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock — one to the base card and the second to the inside. Then I added Autumn Opulence Designer Series Paper to the front of the card, along with a strip of the DSP to the inside.

For the focal point, I die cut the Blackberry Bliss Cardstock using the large die in the Floral Heart Dies, then attached it to the front of the card. I computer generated “Happy Anniversary,” cut it to 3″ x 3/4″, and added it to the middle of the heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals for a little lift.

To finish off the front, I adhered Antique Pearls where I wanted a bit of sparkle (see photo for placement), then placed one of the tiny hearts to the right of the sentiment.

On the inside, I added the strip of Autumn Opulence DSP to the left of the Very Vanilla Cardstock, added three tiny hearts to the lower right, and attached it to the interior. Finally, I glued the DSP to the flap of the envelope for one last pretty detail.
