I hope you stayed safe and warm if this weekend’s storm came through your area! We got about 8 inches of snow here, and with temps staying below freezing, it looks like it’ll be sticking around for a while.
What a special card to create—my great-granddaughter is turning one! I used the same paper for the oval panel that I’m wrapping her gifts with, and this darling Peter Rabbit image captured everything sweet about celebrating this milestone.
Here’s how I made this card:
Cut Pretty in Pink cardstock to 11″ x 4¼” and score on the long side at the 4¼” mark. Fold in half using a Bone Folder for a sharp crease. Layer the card base with Old Olive cardstock cut to 5⅜” x 4⅛”.
For the top panel, cut Basic White cardstock to 5¼” x 4″ and stamp “Look Who’s Turning” in Pretty in Pink ink. Run it through the Cute Crochet 3D Embossing Folder, then adhere it to the card base.
For the oval focal point, cut the wrapping paper to 4½” x 3½” and die cut it with the coordinating die from the Layering Ovals Dies. I backed the oval with another layer of Basic White cardstock for added stability, then adhered it to the front of the card just below the sentiment.
For the inside left panel, layer Basic White cardstock cut to 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ onto Old Olive cardstock cut to 5 1/4″ x 4″. Stamp the baby bunny image in Memento Black ink from the Wildly Adorable Stamp Set and color it in with the Pretty in Pink Stampin’ Blends markers. Adhere the layered panel to the inside of the card.
For the envelope flap, cut a piece of the coordinating wrapping paper to 6″ x 2 1/4″ and adhere it to envelope flap. This completes the coordinated look with the front oval panel and ties the whole card together beautifully.
