Hello my Stampin’ Friends
Make the cutest Christmas projects with the Christmas Friends Stamp Set. Perfect for card making and tags, wish happy holidays with the cutest wild animals dressed for winter! Make any of them the focal point of your card, add the tree image if you want to build a scene, and pair with one of the sentiments from the set. The open line-art animal images are great for coloring possibilities so pick your favorite Christmas colors and coloring technique, and send Christmas wishes in the cutest way!
To create this charming Christmas card, follow these simple steps:
Start with a base card in Silver Slate Cardstock. For the background, I used the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper (DSP) and add a few small white snowflake embellishments from the White Loose Snowflakes.
Cut 3 shapes (from the Deckled Rectangle Dies) from Basic White, Silver Slate, and Lost Lagoon cardstock to layer on the card front. The main focal point is the Basic White textured (Snowflakes 3D Embossing Folder) rectangle. On Thick Basic White Cardstock, stamp with Tuxedo Black and color an adorable owl wearing a Santa hat, along with some leafy branches. For the hat, I used Real Red, for the body, Silver Slate and the beak, Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends. Stampin’ Dimensional were used to attach these elements for depth.
Finally, stamp the sentiment “Owl be thinking of you this season” on Thick Basic White Cardstock and trim with our Paper Snips. Assemble all the layers, slightly offsetting them for a dimensional look. Add any final touches like additional snowflakes or glitter accents as desired. The result is a whimsical, wintry greeting card perfect for the holiday season
To complement the card’s design, a narrow band of matching patterned paper was added to the card’s interior. The same paper was applied to the envelope flap, creating a unified look across all elements of the greeting.
