Good Afternoon Stampin’ Friends
Before I get into today’s card, I wanted to remind that the new Mini Catalog (Sept – Dec) goes live today. I hope your wish list is ready!
Create charming handmade projects year-round with the Playing in the Rain Stamp Set. Featuring playful animal and nature designs, this versatile set is perfect for embellishing cards. Pair the images with included sentiments or your own favorites. Add a splash of color to brighten up even the grayest days!
Today’s card is a cheerful and colorful card. The card’s base Balmy Blue Cardstock. The front pane is Basic White Cardstock with a textured background (Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder. It’s framed with thin Basic Black Cardstock border, giving it a fresh and airy feel.
The focal point of the card is an adorable cartoon-style rabbit character. The rabbit is gray with large ears and is depicted mid-jump, wearing a light blue shirt that was paper pieced from the Full of Life Designer Series Paper. The bunny is leaping with joy, perfectly capturing a sense of whimsy and happiness. The rabbit is placed on a small white diamond shape in the center of the card, making it stand out against the textured background.
Surrounding the rabbit are various colorful circles from the same DSP as used above. These circles are stitched around the edges, adding texture and interest to the design. Small glittery dots in various colors (colored with various Stampin’ Blend Markers) are scattered across the card, enhancing the festive atmosphere. At the bottom of the card, the phrase “Oh Happy Day” is stamped in black, tying the whole cheerful concept together.
The card’s interior, shown on the left, features a white writing space framed by a light blue border and adorned with a vertical rainbow stripe on the left edge. A small yellow circle with stitching and two colorful dots add a subtle decorative touch to the bottom right corner. The envelope flap used the same rainbow pattern. This cohesive color scheme, utilizing a cheerful spectrum of yellow, orange, green, light blue, and purple, creates a modern and uplifting stationery set suitable for various joyful occasions.
