Happy 18th Birthday Rachel | Stamp with Rachel

Good Afternoon my Stampin’ Friends!

My youngest grandchild turned 18 in July, but we couldn’t celebrate at the time due to my concussion. Finally, last night, we took her to the River Grille, one of our favorite restaurants, to celebrate her birthday.

For her birthday card, I decided to use a stamp from a different brand, rather than the usual Stampin’ Up! stamps, to give it a unique touch. However, everything else on the card, from the paper to the embellishments, is all Stampin’ Up! products.

When creating a card, I love starting by choosing a patterned paper, then selecting the coordinating supplies that match the colors in the design.

The main image was colored in using the following stampin’ blends

Petal Pink for the skin
Dark Daffodil Delight for the hair
Wild Wheat for the top
Pecan Pie for the belt and shoes
Boho Blue for the jeans and the balloons

I used the largest die from the Perennial Postage Dies for the front layer. I then splattered Boho Blue all over the front using the Boho Blue Stampin’ Write and the retired Sprtizer Tool.

I added the same designer series paper to the inside of the card and the envelope flap to create a more cohesive look.
