Poinsettia Petals

By | November 29, 2021

The idea for a Christmas card came up when I was sorting out last year’s DSP and getting it ready for sale. I had forgotten I had the the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper (one of my all time favorites). In looking for ideas on Pinterest, I came across one I was inspired by and took out everything to make the that card. Somehow I got off track and came up with this one. Has that happened to you?

This is the DSP I was originally going to use. I’ll have the card ready to show later this week.

To begin, I stamped the poinsettia images in Early Espresso Ink onto Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock. Using a Blender Pen, I then lightly pulled the color away from the stamped lines to add a little bit of color to the petals. Lastly, I die cut the petals with the Poinsettia Dies.

I took the top panel (Very Vanilla Cardstock) and embossed it with the retired Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. After the embossing, I lightly spritzed it with the Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker and the retired Color Spritzer Tool.

The greeting was stamped with Old Olive Ink onto Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock. It was then die cut with the one of the labels from the Tasteful Labels Dies. The twine and glitter glue are non-SU products.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great week!
