International Women’s Day

By | March 8, 2021

International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.

There are so many strong women in my family and I wanted to honor my two daughters who are very successful and have achieved so much in their lives.

Before I go into today’s cards, I want to tell about how different they are.

  • When my daughter Deena was growing up, I dressed her in a preppy style until she discovered what she liked. She is very outgoing and loves the social life.
  • With my daughter Stephanie, I dressed her in girly fussy dresses until she said no more! Her favorite style is t-shirt and jeans. Stephanie is more of an introvert and loves to read (like I do).

For today’s cards, I used a digital stamp set and paired it two different designer series paper for the backgrounds.

For Deena’s (my oldest daughter) card, I used the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper as the background. She loves anything floral so I knew this one would be perfect for her. The sentiment is computer generated.

Stephanie is the youngest of my two daughters. She does not like anything floral but loves stripes. She loves the color purple and butterflies so I thought the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper was perfect for her. I also punched out some butterflies with the Butterfly Duet Punch.

Thanks for stopping by today.
