Painted Harvest

I saw this card on Pinterest and I had to case it. The artist is Shelly Godby – I changed it up a little to make it my own. Thanks Shelly for the inspiration!

Are you thinking- what the heck is Casing? Copy And Share Everything! That’s Stampin’ Up’s definition of it and I think that pretty much sums it up! In crafting, we are all inspired by others. Maybe it is a color combination someone used, maybe it is by a stamp set or project, maybe ONE element in a card sets off the TICK in our minds…..we get an IDEA!!!! And you know it’s not a bad thing to case from the catalog! After all, the cards are created by some of the most creative and artistic card makers.

Any way to get back to today’s card. The stamp set used was the Painted Harvest Stamp Set which just retired in June (boohoo). I love that set and will keep it for a long time.

The flowers were stamped with Rich Razzleberry Ink and the leaves with Mossy Meadow Ink. The sentiment is from the Sale-a-Bration Set, Home to Roost, from a couple of years ago. The background for the bottom of the card is the Brushstrokes Background Stamp. I stamped it with Mossy Meadow Ink on Mossy Meadow Card Stock.

I used the retired Color Tool Spritzer and the Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Write Marker to finish off the card. The lace is the Scallop Lace Trim. I wanted to give it a little chic vintage look.

Enjoy your Labor Day weekend!
