Fabulous Florets

By | November 23, 2012

Hi Stampin' Friends

sDSC01416aAre you still full this morning?  Well I am – I guess it's one of the few times out of the year that I can say I eat until I am beyond stuffed!  My granddaughter Felicia made a peach pie this year and it was simply delicious!  She loves to cook and she wants to go to culinary school when she graduates from high school.

My husband made the turkey this year (it was delicious) and when he could not find the turkey baster, he ran to the nearest store which was a Dollar General.  When he walked in, he asked the clerk where he could find one.  One of the ladies waiting in line asked him if he even knew what a baster was!   I guess she wasn't used to a man doing the cooking!  I told him he should have answered with, "I do but my wife doesn't!" Ha!  Anyway, he couldn't find one so he bought a paint brush and used that to baste the turkey.  How clever is that!

For today's card, I am using the Fabulous Florets Clear Mount Stamp Set which is on sale for $8.98 – 50% off the regular price.  Can you believe that?

The floral and leaf images were stamped with Timber Brown Stazon Ink (retired) on Very Vanilla Card Stock and colored in using an aqua painter and Pink Pirouette and Old Olive Classic Stampin' Ink Pads.  The middle of the flowers are colored in using the So Saffron Stampin' Write Marker.  The flowers and leaves were cut out using the Paper Snips.

The top portion of the background was embossed using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and the bottom portion is from the Fan Fair Designer Series Paper.  The sentiment is from the Blooming with Kindness Clear Mount Stamp Set.  I love fancy fonts they use for the sentiments in this stamp set.

To complete the vintage look, I added Very Vanilla 1/2" Seam Binding using the Rouch look and added a spritz of color (Soft Suede) to the upper right of the sentiment.

If you need any supplies to make this card, please contact me or order through my Stampin' Store for 24/7 service.  And don't forget about my special this weekend!

Thanks for stopping by today
