Sincere Salutations

By | February 21, 2010

Today's my hubby's birthday and we celebrated by going out to his favorite restaurant called Crabby's!   He had King Crab Legs while I had a salad and dessert!  I can't eat seafood because I'm allergic to it – okay that's not why I don't eat it.

Opener

But it's easier to say I'm allergic to it than to say I'm a picky eater! (LOL).  How do you feel about seafood?  Leave a comment and your name will be entered into the contest for the stamp set:  Country Morning.

Here's his card –

Birthday-Wishes copy

Ribbon I used the striped paper from the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack from the Occasions Mini Catalog to make a very quick, clean and simple card.  The center piece of card stock (Bermuda Bay) was put through the crimper to give it a little interest and finished with Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon with a simple knot.

Sentiment The sentiment was stamped on Very Vanilla card stock using the Bermuda Bay classic ink and then punched out using the Key Tag punch.  Both layers under this (Bermuda Bay and Chocolate Chip card stock) were cut free hand with the paper snips.  It was added to the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I have a couple of contests going on until the end of the month

  1. Newsletter sign up (drawing – Abundant Hope)
  2. Comment on blog (drawing – Country Morning)
  3. Free Stamp Set of the Month (drawing – Eggcoutrements)

Remember – you can't win if you don't enter.

Thanks for visiting!

Rachel – Your card is really classy. Amazing how using the one paper but with the lines going in different directions can have such an impact! Thanks for the idea.

    Happy Birthday David!

Rachel, I’m a picky eater too, but I love seafood. Nothing raw though. I would definitely have gone for the dessert too!
