Good Morning Stampin’ Friends
Hope you are having a pleasant week so far. It is hot, hot, hot in our area but, for me, it’s a good excuse stay in and make cards! The only time I go out is to walk the dog 4 times a day but they are quick trips so it’s not too bad.
Stampin’ Up! July specials
I just got the Gorgeously Made Bundle from Stampin’ Up! and could hardly wait to make a card with it. It is a beautiful set and features three all-occasion sentiments that you can use for cards, tags, gift packaging, and more! You’ll also love the unique text and spiral notebook designs that can be used as an intriguing background or accent pieces. And don’t forget to freshen up your cards and crafts with greenery that you’ll use year-round.
For the colors used on this card, I selected Lost Lagoon and Daffodil Delight from the Hello, Irresistible Designer Series Paper.
The base card was embossed with the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder and and stamped the image with the text randomly all over the front. I used Daffodil Delight but stamped it off first. The 2nd layer is Lost Lagoon pattern paper from the same DSP. It was cut with the spiral notebook die at the top and the torn look die at the bottom.
I did the same thing with the Basic White front panel. After die cutting, I stamped the leaf image with Lost Lagoon Ink. The stamped randomly all over the front panel with the text image and Daffodil Delight Ink. I die cut one of the pattern papers with the leaf image and adhered on top of the stamped leaf image, offsetting it a little. I added the sentiment, stamped with Lost Lagoon and die cut with the coordinating die. Lastly I added Basic White Twine and embellishments from the Iridescent Pastel Gems.
I stamped off the leaf image using Blue Lagoon Ink and then stamped on the lower left side of the inside panel. I did the same thing with the envelope.
