What kind of card do you give a teenage boy?

By | April 2, 2014

I struggle with this every year now that my grandsons are teenagers.    Since I know my grandson, Troy,  plays the guitar once in a while, I decided to go with the Rocker Silhouette (Extreme Guitar Stamp Brush Set) for the focal point on his card.   Have you seen the other Extreme Sports Silhouettes available only in digital downloads?  There a snowboarder, a surfer, a dirt bike  rider and a skate boarder – something for everyone!

I used the Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper  to pull the colors together.  One of the things I like about using DSP is that I usually end up with colors I don’t basically use in my card making.  In this case, I selected Gumball Green as the color for the background and I think it’s the 1st time I’ve used this color.

The image was printed out on Naturals White Card Stock using the My Digital Studio.  Then I used one of the ovals from our Ovals Collection Framelits dies to die cut the shape.   I added the strips of DSP then embossed the Gumball Green background with the Arrows Embossing Folder from the Occasions Catalog.
