Watercolor Ombre Background with Stampin’ Up!’s You Are Remarkable Card

By | April 11, 2025

Hello my Stampin’ Friends!

Are you ready for the weekend? I certainly am because it’s going to be a glorious weekend in our area and we will be doing some gardening. Spring is here! 🌸

Let special people know they matter with Stampin’ Up!’s You Are Remarkable Stamp Set. The elegant floral design pairs perfectly with friendship sentiments that fit vertically alongside the tall blooms on cards or scrapbook pages. Add texture with Distinktive images or color using your preferred technique.

You are Remarkable

I stamped the main daisy image with Tuxedo Black Ink onto Basic White Cardstock. I colored the flower using Bubble Bath Ink and added the leaves with Lemon Lime Twist. For the center of the flower, I used Crumb Cake Ink to create a natural look.

I made my base card from Basic White Thick Cardstock. For Layer #1, I used Basic Black Cardstock, and for Layer #2, I chose paper from the Full of Life 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (DSP). I embossed the DSP with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder. I adhered all three layers with our Multipurpose Liquid Glue. For the front panel containing the stamped image, I used Basic White Cardstock cut with the Textured Notes Dies. I framed it with a thin border of Basic Black Cardstock and attached it with Stampin’ Dimensionals for added depth.

I stamped the “Thank You” sentiment from the Something Fancy Stamp Set and cut it using the Thoughtful Expressions Dies. I attached it to the left of the flower using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. For embellishments, I added several Matte Black Dots to complete the design.

I lined the inside with Basic White Cardstock cut using the Textured Notes Dies and added a sentiment from the You Are Remarkable Stamp Set. For a coordinated look, I used the same DSP from the card front on both the bottom portion of the card interior and the envelope flap.
