Hi Craft Friends
I almost titled this post “Look Ma, No Stamping!” but thought better of it! 😊
I’m so excited to share this elegant birthday card, from the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper (DSP), featuring a beautiful vintage harbor scene. The moody sky and peaceful boats create such a sophisticated, masculine look that’s perfect for the men in our lives. I layered it on a classic black card base with a decorative frame and added a simple “Happy Birthday Justin” sentiment. It’s a straightforward design that lets the stunning artwork shine. Let me show you how I made it!

Here’s how I made this very simple but with vintage charm:
I started with a Secret Sea cardstock base, folding it in half and using a bone folder to create a sharp crease. Next, I die cut both the DSP and Cloud Cover cardstock using the second largest die from the Textured Notes Dies set. I attached the Cloud Cover cardstock to the base card at an angle, then added a 1/8″ Secret Sea cardstock border around the DSP for the top panel. I mounted everything to the card front using Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the sentiment, I created it on my computer and printed it onto Basic Beige cardstock, then die cut it with the coordinating Textured Notes die. I attached it to the card front with Black Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Inside the card, I added a Basic Beige cardstock panel die cut with the largest Textured Notes die. I also attached a piece of leftover DSP to the bottom of the card interior. To create a cohesive look, I added the same DSP to the envelope flap as well.
