Tres Shabby Chic

By | August 7, 2012

Hi Stampin' Friends

Well, I over did it this time.  I was trying for the shabby chic look and it took me several hours to get it right.  Usually I can made a card in about an hour (from design to finish) but I keep changing things around on this one.

I used the Tea Shoppe Clear Mount Stamp Set for this card.

Whatever your tea preference, this delightful, vintage-inspired ten-piece set has a cup just for you. Coordinates with the Modern Label and Scallop Oval Punches and the Chamomile Stampin' Around Wheel.

So what do you think?  Do you like it?  I used the shabby chic flowers that were part of my "discovered" stash when I moved.  Too many pretty flowers to give or throw away so I'll just gradually use them.  Other than the flowers and burlap, all other material is from Stampin' Up!

Tip: Do not use the Blossoms Petal Builder to try and punch out leaves from Burlap.  I broke the punch trying to punch through the burlap.  I don't think I'll call SU on this one since it was totally my fault!  I finally used the oval punch to punch out a template (paper) and then I used that as a guide to cut the burlap.
