Top Note Fun Flowers & Blog Candy

By | July 4, 2011

Hi Stampers

Opener
I decided I wanted something girly and frilly today!  I broke out the Wisteria Wonder Card Stock (beautiful color!) and Flirtatious Specialty Designer Series Paper finally!  I've had it for a while but every time I buy something new, I seem to hang on to it before I decide to use it.  I was the same way when I was quilting – I collected fat quarters and felt they were too pretty to cut into.

I love the fancy Flirtatious DSP with it's delicate designed doilies and the best part is the laser cut doilies that are included as part of the package.  It coordinates with the Flirtation Product Suite on pages 126 and 127.

Fabulous-Florets copy
The top portion of the top note is not new DSP!  I stamped the floral image from Fabulous Florets Stamp Set in Blushing Bride Classic Ink and Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink randomly all over the Whisper White Card Stock.  Fabulous-Florets-1 copy
The bottom portion of the top note is DSP – it's from the Flirtatious Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Flower

The flowers are from the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die.  I used Wisteria Wonder Card Stock and Blushing Bride Card Stock to make the bottom two layers of the flower.

I used Pear Pizzazz Paper Stack DSP and the Little Leaves Sizzlits Die for the leaves.

The top layer of the flower was made using the Flirtatious Specialty DSP and the Flower Layers #3 (retired).  I added pearls from the Basic Pearls Jewels package for a touch of class.  I completed the card with  Whisper White 5/8" Organdy Ribbon for a delicate touch.

BLOG CANDY

I have not given out blog candy in a while.  How about a $25.00 gift certificate from the new catalog?  I'll pay taxes and shipping.  All you have to do is tell me which item in the new catalog is your favorite one.  You can leave a comment on any post between now and 11 July 2011.  Be sure and leave your e-mail address so I can notify you if you win.

I'll post the winner on this blog also.  Good luck!

wow, what an awesome prize for blog candy – thank you so much for offering this Rachel. I love what you did with the new product — especially your background using the Fabulous Florets. I really thought it was designer paper that I had missed out on, until I read how you did the card. Awesome!!

    Beautiful card Rachel.
My fav in the new catty would have to be the Faith in Nature Hostess stamp set. My wheels started the moment I saw it as to every thing I could do with it.
Keep on sharing your great ideas.

What a tough choice! I just love snowmen – so, of course, love Snow Much Fun – but, there are just way too many to really choose from! I love your card!

Rachel, this card is stunning. I love the colors and what you did with the ribbon.

Picking a favorite from the new catalog is not easy! I really like the single flower & single cooking stamps, Wisteria Wonder, the ruffled ribbon, Mocha & Berry DSPs, just to name a few things…

Thank you for your generous offer. I am torn between so many of the stamp sets. I think my favorite is Field flowers which I ordered and a close second is Button Buddies at the top of my wish list. Thanks again for the chance to win.

Good to know that the Wisteria Wonder Stock has color throughout the entire paper. The color should stay true longer.
